Arts and Cultural Ganesh Festival of SA 2021
-
Since the event dates coincided with Ganesh Chaturthi, it was decided to have the event start on the auspicious date on 10th Sept. and continue over the weekend of 11th & 12th September. Due to the prevailing Covid related limitations, the event was arranged in consultation and guidance from SA Health and all precautions were taken to make it a safe and compliant event. This was probably the only Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav celebrated anywhere in Australia or even India, at this scale.
-
Around 3500 devotees visited the venue to seek the Lord's Darshan, adhering to the rules and regulations set for Covid which helped in smooth management of crowd.
-
Our team of volunteers managed the crowds and ensured at a given time not more than 150 people were present inside the venue as per social distancing rules. At the entry point temperature checks were performed on all visitors.
-
This year the devotees could experience the colourful grandeur of Bappa on the Giant projection Screen measuring 16x 6 metres with mesmerizing visual effects.
-
The traditional Dhol & Tasha team, dressed in traditional attire (nauvari sarees) enthralled the crowds like every year, and a special presentation with more than 50 performers made a Tribute to the Covid Warriors using visual, theatre, props and lezim effects.
